French Vanilla Essence (Loose Leaf) combines creamy carob with the essence of sweet vanilla and a base of organic black tea.

Taste:

Davidson's French Vanilla Essence (Loose Leaf) is a full-bodied black tea brew with a velvety vanilla finish.

Origin:

Davidson's organic black tea is sourced from family tea gardens in the Darjeeling and Assam regions of India. This is an image of a farmer diligently tilling the soil between tea plants in the Snowview Tea Estate.

Ingredients:

Organic black tea, organic carob, natural flavor, organic stevia and organic calendula flowers.

Brewing:

  1. Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil.
  2. Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug.
  3. Pour the heated water into the mug.
  4. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser.
  6. Sip and enjoy Davidson's organic tea.

This has become one of my favourite teas. I've read the other reviews of this product; yes, it does contain stevia, which I'd like to remind people that stevia is a culinary herb with a relatively sweet taste - it is not sugar. If you are avoiding sugar, this tea is a great blend with a smooth, rich, sweet, comforting vanilla flavour.

The vanilla flavor is so tasty. This tea does have stevia in it, but I don't think it's much because I still used the same amount of stevia that I normally use in my teas. I think it just has a great vanilla flavor.

I made a mistake when I ordered this tea, because I did not realize that it has stevia in it and on a kept diet I don't eat or drink anything sugar or sugar like. Otherwise a wonderful tasting tea.

LOVED the taste of this tea, and wondered how the vanilla tasted so much differently than other vanilla black teas that I have purchased from other sources. It turns out, after I finally read the entire label, that it has STEVIA in it. I do not consume sugar of any form, so this was quite disturbing. Why not let the customer add sugar to their tea instead of putting it IN the tea leaves? I will not be purchasing this product again for that reason.
